Present Continuous ต่างจาก Present Simple ตรงที่มันพูดถึง "ตอนนี้ เดี๋ยวนี้" ถ้า Present Simple คือนิสัย (ทำทุกวัน) Present Continuous คือสิ่งที่กำลังเกิดขึ้น ณ ขณะนี้ — หรือแผนที่จัดตารางไว้แน่ชัดแล้ว

ใช้เมื่อไหร่?
"I am writing this article right now." · "She is sleeping." · "It is raining outside."
→ สัญญาณคำ: now, right now, at this moment, currently, look!
"I am living with my parents this month." · "She is studying for exams."
→ ไม่ได้ทำทุกวัน แต่ทำอยู่ "ช่วงนี้" ชั่วคราว
"I am meeting John tomorrow at 3pm." · "We are flying to Tokyo next week."
→ ใช้แทน future ได้ เมื่อนัดหมายหรือจัดตารางไว้แล้ว
Stative Verbs — ห้ามใช้กับ Continuous
Verbs บางตัวเรียกว่า stative verbs คือ verb ที่บอก "สภาวะ" ไม่ใช่ "การกระทำ" — verbs พวกนี้ห้ามเติม -ing แม้จะพูดถึงตอนนี้ก็ตาม
"I am knowing the answer." → I know the answer.
"She is wanting coffee." → She wants coffee.
"I am understanding now." → I understand now.

Are you working? → Yes, I am. / No, I'm not.
Is she sleeping? → Yes, she is. / No, she isn't.
What are you doing? → I am reading a book.

"She is go to school." → She is going to school.
"I am study English." → I am studying English.
"He working now." → He is working now. (ลืม is)
